Why Use 409/439 Stainless?

T409 and 439 grades of stainless steel coil, washers, sheet steel and liner panels from Straub Metal provides an economical alternative to other types of stainless steel. It is easy to weld, has greater corrosion resistance than high-strength and galvanized steels with forming characteristics similar to carbon steel. Straub Metal also stocks T439 stainless steel, an alternative to 409 stainless which contains increased amounts of chrome for improved corrosion resistance.
